I am looking for a particular photo or subject that I don't see. Will you be getting more photos soon?
While we are always updating our inventory, we do not list every photo that we have on this webpage because of space concerns. We do have a
search feature so that you can find what you are looking for quickly.  If you do not see what you are looking for, please contact us. We might have what you are looking for, and if we do not, we might be able to get it for you.

Where do your photos come from?
Our photos come from a variety of sources including national archives, other collectors, and our personal collection.

Are these real photographs?
Yes.  We will only sell actual, chemically processed photographs on archive quality photographic paper (not a laser print, ink jet print on "photo" paper, or Kodak Picture Maker reproduction). Upon occasion we will feature a collectible poster or lithograph, and it will be clearly stated as such in the item description.

I want a particular photo, but I need it in a different size.  Can you make it larger or smaller?
Many of our photos are available in sizes ranging from 4x6 to 12x18. 
Ask us  and we will be happy to see if we have your photo available in a different size.

How fast do you ship?
We ship our photos within 3-7 business days after payment is received. We will send you an e-mail with the date of shipment. If there is a delay for any reason, we will let you know immediately.

I am having trouble ordering, what should I do?
Contact us and we will take your order directly. If you include the error message, it will help us prevent the same error in the future.

I can't find an item or page that I had previously saved in my favorites file, where did it go?
Recently, we upgraded our servers, shopping cart, and entire system in order to enable you to find the items you are looking for much more rapidly.  In addition, this upgrade allows you to pay via Paypal without needing to wait for an invoice from us.  When we implemented this change, many of our web addresses changed... breaking old links.  Rest assured that your item is usually still available.  If you cannot find it, send us an e-mail and we will send you the new link

I sent you e-mail more than 24 hours ago and have not received any reply?

Do you take checks?
We will accept checks. However, we must wait until our bank has informed us that they have cleared. Usually 3-10 business days.

I have more information about a photograph or subject ... or ... I noticed a mistake in one of your descriptions.
Accuracy is extremely important to us.  If you ever notice a mistake, please feel free to let us know.  We are always happy to get new information about a photo (dates, photographer, relevant information about the photograph's subject), and if we can confirm that the information is correct, we will be happy to add the information and share it with others.  Please contact us!!

I am looking for someone to do photo research for me. Do you do this?
We can do photo research. Depending on the location and accessibility of the photo or information we would have to individually negotiate fees and expenses.

I have a bunch of pictures and other stuff that I found in my aunts closet. Do you buy photos?  Can you tell me what they might be worth?
Because we will only sell photos and memorabilia that meet our high quality standards, we do not purchase items sight unseen. In special circumstances we might consider particular items.  While we feel complimented when people write asking us to estimate the value of their items, the value of collectible memorabilia depends on a number of factors, including where the item is marketed, the condition of the item, and current trends.  We recommend you contact a professional appraiser if you need a valuation for insurance or resale purposes.

I need to purchase a large number of photographs.  Do have a large volume discount?
We do offer a large volume discount off of photos purchased from
www.mach1collectibles.comDiscounts will automatically be applied on orders of 10 or more.  If a sale is running at the same time, the larger discount will apply.
